| Rich Martin has been in law enforcement for numerous years in the public, private and judicial sectors. Martin also owns a security, investigation, and process serving firm in Kalamazoo. Since 2001, Martin has instructed CCW Classes in the Southwest Michigan area, being an NRA Law Enforcement and Civilian Firearms Instructor, NRA Training Counselor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer. Martin also is a Reserve Staff Sergeant, Snowmobile Deputy and Range Officer with the Allegan County Sheriff's Office, Deputy/Court Services Supervisor with the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, Licensed Private Detective, Snowmobile and ORV Instructor, and a former Michigan Court Officer. Martin's affiliations include being a life member of the NRA, an active member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI), and an active member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA). Martin is a supporter of concealed carry, national reciprocity, abolishment of pistol free zones, and the right to bear arms. Martin is also an avid 3-wheeler, and ATV rider being a supporter of ORV road shoulder usage in northern Michigan counties. Martin lives in Portage with his family in the winter, and spends most of his time near Luther in the summer. |
