Vendor Mart

The Vendor Mart is adjacent to the overflow parking lot and next to the pistol range. Because it is on a large lawn, the space per vendor is unlimited within reason. There is no electricity. Vendors need to bring their own table, chair, and/or booth. If it rains, Multi-Lakes will move vendors indoors in a second room in the pistol range building. We ask that vendors’ products and services for sale be majority firearms or self-defense related. Vendors are welcome to provide their own demonstrations that do not involve live fire or pointing a firearm, including a mock firearm, at another person. Vendors may not sell food or beverages for consumption at the event. Vendors should send $20 via PayPal to education@mcrgo.org prior to the day of the festival to secure a vendor spot. In the notes block on PayPal, indicate it is for vendor space at the festival and indicate the name of the business.

Shooting Competitions

General: Competitors are to supply their firearms, ammunition, and ear & eye protection. MCRGO will supply targets. Competitors may sign up from 30 minutes before the start of the event until the end of the first round of shooting. Sign-up will take place at the designated range for the event. There is no early sign-up and refunds will not be offered. Each event costs $20. Competitors may compete in one, two, or all three events. Bob Rudowski will be the appeals judge for any competition disputes. Allowances will be made for physically challenged individuals. Steel ammunition is allowed. Armor piercing and incendiary ammunition is prohibited. Except for legally carried firearms, all other firearms should remain unloaded and encased until reaching the shooting line at a competition. Note that Multi-Lakes does not allow carry in their clubhouse but welcomes it anywhere else on their property. Any competitor who engages in unsafe behavior while handing a firearm will be disqualified without a refund.

Pistol: The pistol competition begins at 12:00 PM. Larry Washington will be the judge. The course of fire will be 16 rounds shot one-handed from a standing position from 50′ at an official NRA 25 yard slow-fire pistol target. The judge will determine the method of tie-breaking. Competitors should bring up to 50 rounds to ensure they have enough for any tie-breaking matches. Pistols, including revolvers, should be shorter barrel, everyday carry styles ranging from .22-.45 caliber. Long barrel formal competition pistols such as the Ruger MK series are not allowed due to the unfair advantage they would provide. No optics or lasers are allowed for pistol. The age limit for pistol is 18 years old.

Shotgun: The shotgun competition begins at 2:00 PM. Charlie Stevens will be the judge. The course of fire will be 25 clays shot as skeet. The judge will determine the method of tie-breaking. Competitors should bring up to 50 shells to ensure they have enough for any tie-breaking matches. No optics or lasers are allowed for shotgun. There is no age limit for shotgun although individuals under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian directly supervising.

Rifle: The rifle competition begins at 3:00 PM. Rich Martin will be the judge. The course of fire will be 10 rounds shot in 5 minutes from a prone position from 200 yards at an official NRA 200 yard rifle target. Attached bipods are welcome. The judge will determine the method of tie-breaking. Competitors should bring up to 20 rounds to ensure they have enough for any tie-breaking matches. Any traditional or modern caliber rifle .300 / 7.62mm or smaller is welcome. Scopes are allowed for rifles. Lasers are not allowed. There is no age limit for rifle although individuals under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian directly supervising.

Winners: The awards ceremony will be at 4:00 PM at the seminar area. First, second, and third places winners for each event should attend to be recognized, receive their awards, and have their photo taken. MCRGO will not mail awards to winners who fail to attend the ceremony.
